Passage to Freedom – Documentary Screening and Panel Discussion at the Manitoba Museum Auditorium

Please join us Friday, March 1 at 7:00 pm for a screening of the documentary Passage to Freedom which shares the emotional and impactful stories of Southeast Asian refugees who came to Canada between 1975 and 1985, and the stories of those who assisted them. This documentary is part of the pop-up exhibition Hearts of Freedom: Stories of Southeast Asian Refugees which is on display in the Festival Hall until April 7, 2024. Visit Hearts of Freedom for free on March 1 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, before or after this special program. Click here for more details on this exhibit.

The evening will begin with opening remarks by Senator Marilou McPhedran, followed by a screening of Passage to Freedom. A panel discussion and question and answer session will follow.
