Oral history video interviews by Southeast Asian refugees that resettled in Canada are the primary sources of this book. Conducted for The Canadian Southeast Asian Refugee Historical Research Project: Hearts of Freedom (HOF), they are cited as references by interview number throughout the book’s text. The video interviews are available on the Hearts of Freedom project website. To access the video interviews, go to the website https://heartsoffreedom.org and click on Interviews. The interviews are listed in numerical order, using their HOF numbers, under the headings Vietnamese Interviews, Cambodian Interviews, Laotian Interviews, as well as interviews with Government and Sponsors and can be searched by name or interview number.
