Cet incident est suivi d'un retard d'un mois sur l'Ile de Hainan, au nord du Vietnam, lorsque le cargo sur lequel ils voyageaient a \u00e9t\u00e9 endommag\u00e9.<br \/>Une fois au camp, la famille est invit\u00e9es \u00e0 s\u2019\u00e9tablir au Canada. A leur arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019a\u00e9roport d\u2019Ottawa, Tham d\u00e9couvre que la famille b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiera du parrainage d\u2019un groupe priv\u00e9 de citoyens canadiens qui les aideront \u00e0 se r\u00e9installer, et cela l\u2019a \u00e9mue aux larmes. La famille ne souhaitant pas \u00eatre un fardeau pour le groupe de soutien.
