Please join us Friday, March\u00a01 at 7:00 pm\u00a0for\u00a0a\u00a0screening of the documentary\u00a0Passage to Freedom\u00a0which shares the emotional and impactful stories of Southeast Asian refugees who came to Canada between 1975 and 1985, and the stories of those who\u00a0assisted\u00a0them.\u00a0This documentary\u00a0is part of the\u00a0pop-up\u00a0exhibition\u00a0Hearts of Freedom: Stories of Southeast Asian Refugees\u00a0<\/em>which is on display in the Festival Hall until\u00a0April 7, 2024.\u00a0Visit\u00a0Hearts of Freedom\u00a0<\/em>for\u00a0free\u00a0on March 1\u00a0from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, before or\u00a0after\u00a0this\u00a0special program.\u00a0Click here for more details on this exhibit<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening will begin with opening remarks by Senator Marilou McPhedran, followed by a screening of Passage to Freedom<\/em>. A panel discussion and question and answer session will follow.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
