Sa famille a ensuite d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de quitter secr\u00e8tement le Vietnam apr\u00e8s avoir endur\u00e9 les conditions du r\u00e9gime communiste pendant quatre ans et apr\u00e8s avoir graduellement perdu leurs biens. Tard, dans la nuit, elle a r\u00e9veill\u00e9 ses 8 enfants et son \u00e9poux et s'est enfuie \u00e0 Saigon.<\/p>\n<p>Une fois \u00e0 Saigon, ils sont rest\u00e9s chez un \u00e9tranger et ont attendu la nuit avant de monter \u00e0 bord un bateau en mer. Au moment o\u00f9 leur bateau s'appr\u00eatait \u00e0 prendre la mer, une compagnie de soldats \u00e0 bord d'un bateau Viet Cong leur a tir\u00e9 dessus. Ils ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 fuir, pour arriver dans un camp de base militaire tha\u00eflandais o\u00f9 ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 de nouveau tir\u00e9s dessus par des armes.
