C'\u00e9tait peu de temps apr\u00e8s la chute de Phnom Penh. Pendant cette \u00e9poque, la recherche de nourriture se faisait sans rel\u00e2che. \u00c9ventuellement, ils se sont retrouv\u00e9s couverts de boue, effray\u00e9s et d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9s, dans la cuisine d'un temple.<\/p>\n<p>Des ann\u00e9es plus tard, sa volont\u00e9 de survivre et de pers\u00e9v\u00e9rer l'encouragerait \u00e0 nager \u00e0 travers les rivi\u00e8res, \u00e0 se cacher des Khmers rouges dans les rizi\u00e8res et \u00e0 se faufiler dans un camp de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s pendant sa grossesse.
